Discover SIDEC 2025
SIDEC reflects the impact of geopolitical changes and current security challenges that the Republic of Slovenia has addressed. The tactics and operations of warfare, as well as approaches to global security, have evolved significantly. Modern soldier equipment is becoming increasingly technologically advanced, necessitating a new approach and significantly greater investment in research and development.
With this event, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovenian defence industry, organized within the Slovenian Defence Industry Cluster, are responding to this new reality. Recently, Slovenian scientific and research institutions have also successfully joined this developmental dynamic.
Fair and professional conference
The event will include a presentation of the most important technological solutions that were created as a result of development activities under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia and a two-day professional conference. The latter will include four substantive sections, namely: cyber security, future technologies, energy efficiency and resilience, and artificial intelligence.
The purpose of the conference is to show the importance of these contents for the further development of the defense and security system as well as the protection and rescue system. At the same time, individual panels will discuss new paradigms that dictate the guidelines for the further development of defense technologies.
The exhibition and expert conference will be closed to the general public; attendance will be by invitation only and require prior registration.
Why Slovenia?
Slovenia lies at the crossroads of Central and South-Eastern Europe, so it is easily accessible from major European countries such as Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. This location provides a convenient location, making it attractive to international defense industry players from Western and Eastern Europe.
